Layne Merritt brings 39 years in aerospace to LuftCar's defense strategy and government relations.
He served 22 years as an Army helicopter and airplane pilot and experimental test pilot, including early CH-47F Chinook work, then as Chief Engineer at PEO Aviation and Deputy Director at the DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center.
He later served as CTO at Elbit America and as VP/GM of Airborne Systems at IntelliSense.
At LuftCar he leads defense opportunities with a focus on US and NATO missions.
